Alright, I have to admit- I went in to this production a little bit hesitant. The last time I’d seen Les Mis was over a decade ago and had the absolute privilege of seeing Ramin Karimloo (yeah, I’m not over it either tbh. Like, the man got a ten minute standing ovation for “Bring Him Home.”)

Well, I am prepared to eat my words because I ended up seeing this show twice. It was exactly what I wanted and needed. Nick Cartell is the perfect Jean Valjean. The rest of the cast is operating at the top of their game too. No notes.

FUN FACT: Josh is a spoiled brat so the first musical he ever saw was literally The Book of Mormon on BROADWAY. He was very interested to learn that musicals have a live orchestra instead of being played on a CD player like in middle school.

TICKET TIP: This show is BELOVED in Toronto and has not been there in ten years. Get tickets EARLY and FAST.
